Birth of New Ideas (Driving School)

In Hirat province, Birth of New Ideas Organization received a Quick Impact Grant from ASGP to teach 50 women how to drive through both classroom and hands-on driver training classes. Female graduates from the driver-training program received driving licenses after passing the test at the Herat Traffic Police Department. Prior to the ASGP-funded grant to Birth of New Ideas, only four women in Herat province had ever driven a vehicle. Now, women understand traffic rules, can legally drive, and feel more empowered within their communities.
